Crate Paper step by step...

Do you love Crate paper?? I do..theres just something about it, maybe its the texture the paper has, the double sided feature is a definate plus, or maybe its the weird smell it has?? i dont know but it has always been one of my favourite ranges. the three new lines they have recently released is no exception. Totally gorgeous colours and you get SO much in the packs. two of each paper, plus some gorgeous glitter die-cuts and borders and an alphabet, not to mention the die-cut speciality paper as well.... O my!!

I have decided to do a bit of a feature on the prudence range. i have created a LO and am going to show you step by step how I went about creating it. How does that sound for something different?

Ok here goes.

I have started off with using 'Virtue' as my base with the lined side up. I then cut a 22cm x 20cm piece of 'discretion' and a 20cm x 18cm piece from 'Vigilance'.

I then distressed the edges using the scissor method but you dont have to its an optional step.

I then stuck the pages on top of one another (the darker one on top) and then stuck to my base with it slightly being closer to the bottom than centred iykwim .....LOL

Then i took the large sparkly green border from the die-cut sheet and cut it so it went about 3/4 of the way across the two PP's. I rounded the end so it looked like it was originally that long. i then inked it with pinecone ink butthats optional. (o yea and dont throw away the small circles you punch out the middle!!)

I then took the large circle diecut and cut it in half. i stuck one half under the side of the PP's.

The next step i did was the stick my photos down. Now I have used 4 smaller photos but you can use one or two or more. its up to you!!. i then stuck the other half circle underneath my photos in the top left hand corner.

Now comes the part to use those tiny glittered circles. i placed them in a line alternateing between big and small across the top of the PP's on the right hand side.

now its time to finish off by adding your title and any other embellishments.

i went with the small Adorn it letters and Heidi Swapp plastic letters but you could ude the letters from the crate paper pack. They are just awesome!!

I hope you have enjoyed my little step by step

and thanks for stopping by!!

Basic Grey Rub-on Tool

I love rub-ons !

I have an abundance of them!
Alphas, words, flourishes, any variety that you can name, from such manufacturers as Basic Grey, 7 Gypsies, Bella, Kaisercraft, Making Memories, Prima, Fancy Pants, and so the list goes on.

With each of these packets I have received various rub on tools - paddle pop sticks, round wooden stick, round plastic sticks, icy pole sticks - lots of different ones, but none of these work anywhere near as well as the Basic Grey Rub on Roller Stylus.

This tool is magnificent! It is the ideal shape to hold, not too heavy, nor too light, it's double ended, and the rub on stylus not only rolls easily but is also spring loaded. This makes applying rub-ons over a number of layers much easier, and the other end is flat and is used to set the rub-ons or to take out the tiny air bubbles that you sometimes get.
I really recommend this tool as a must have in your stash, and I know that there are some available in the SHOP.

Do you have a Cuttlebug???

Well if the answer is no, then why haven't you...lol....but if the answer is yes, well you are going to love the Nestabilities dies that will be landing in store very shortly. They come in lots of different shapes, and each set comes with at least 5 sizes, mostly 6, making them very versatile. The great thing about the Nestabilities is that they not only cut, but emboss and stencil as well, all with the same die, they are also very thin and easy to store. I store one of my sets in a CD case and another couple in a CD tin, so they take up hardly any room at all. Here is one of the Scallop die sets, which you can see comes with 6 die, the largest being around 4 inches and the smallest around 1 1/4 inches across. Here are a couple of Christmas cards I did with the scallop dies, and all I did was fold a piece of cardstock over then placed the scallop die so that it just sat a little over the folded edge, ran it through my Cuttlebug and it cut a 4 inch scallop card, pretty cute? Another great thing to do is use the die to cut a window in a card, and you can then emboss the window which looks gorgeous. The possibilities are endless with this great product, so keep your eye out in the shop very soon, and give them a go, I'm sure you'll love them.
You can see a little demonstration video here.

Basic Grey & KAISER

Marg has been busy creating - using a design found on the HERO ARTS blog.

The second uses Basic Grey's "Blitzen" Range

Don't they look absolutely gorgeous...

And what a great quick idea for that last minute card.

Look who has arrived!

And he brings a special message!!!!

That the COUNTRY PAPERCRAFT SHOP IS NOW OPEN!!!!!

And has so many products available as presents for the avid scrapbooker!

Why not drop some subtle hints of thing you would like! Or just order a Gift Voucher for that special someone in your life.

I know I have my wish list happening!

*The story behind Santa - Marg loves Christmas and all things Christmassy. Each year Santa is brought out of storage and placed in a multitude of positions on the farm. Last year he spent the Christmas period in the bath.
This year he is rounding up those naughty little reindeer, and sending across the special message about the store being opened. It must delight passers by, who travel out in the country to suddenly see Santa perched on a Motorbike out in the middle of a paddock. I know it delights the children who pass by on the school bus!

Cuttlebug Storage....

Have you seen these?

They are a storage bag to hold all your Cuttlebug dies! How clever is that?

The bag is constructed of a sturdy canvas, in this gorgeous shade of blue. Each bag comes complete with one binder which holds 2 of the A2 folders (the larger ones) 4 of the 2 x 2 dies and 2 of the 3 x 3 dies.
You are able to purchase more inserts to hold further dies.

Great Value! And another brilliant storage idea!

And after doing a quick Google search I am pleased to say we can offer one of the cheapest prices around!!!!!

Check them out in the Sizzix & Cuttlebug section at THE SHOP

The shop has been updated with some new Versamark Ink Cubes.
There are a heap of new items arriving, but due to the shop renovations these boxes aren't being unpacked - simply because there is no more room available to unpack them into.
So as soon as camp is over and done with and the shop all settled into the shop will be bombarded with lots of new eye candy for you to buy!

Shop Progress & Visitors

Well, see all the work is happening on the inside...
LOL and don't pop out for a visit without your work clothes - as one of the regular customers found! Isn't that right?
Barbie - aka Scrapping Queen hard at work sanding down the kitchen cupboards

Take one hard working husband, a chainsaw and a pile of foam panels - what do you get?

A lot of white foam snow, and a pile of insulation for the roof!

Even the boss gets her hands dirty - sanding and cleaning the inside walls in preparation for painting.

The JAG CAR CLUB came for a visit in their beautiful Jaguar Cars - nice!

They set up camp in the shop! See perfect for sleepovers - LOL but when its scrapping camp there is no time for sleeping!
