Ok, here it comes...

Another Tuesday sketch that is...lol. Hope your day is off to a great start, I've just sent my DD off to school again this morning after a fab 2 weeks holiday, so it's a bit quieter around here :) Anyway, on with the sketch. It's quite a clean, simple one this time, not like my scrapping style at all.....lol....but there is lots of room for you to add your own spin. So I hope you enjoy, and please don't forget to upload in the CPC gallery if you do have a go, you know we love to see ;) Hope you have a great day, Lynlee x

Tuesday again, my turn to draw you up a sketch.

Anyone that knows me knows that I hardly ever do things on an angle, so a good challenge for me as well. I will do an example and put on later today.

Please have a go with this one and share in the gallery.
Have fun, Marg.

Tween mini-album

Hi there, Lynlee here :) Marg has asked me to share a little project that kept me pretty busy last weekend, my DD had one of her best friends birthday parties Saturday night, and we decided to make Emily a mini-album for her present, and as she had been given her first camera from her Mum and Dad, it ended up being perfect for her, and she loved it, thank goodness...lol.
So, the actual mini-album is a Basic Grey milk chocolate eclectic album, which Marg has coming into the shop soon, so keep your eye out, they have some beautiful shapes in the album, and the chipboard is a really great quality. Then, I have used the totally gorgeous Collage Press "Sweet Shoppe"Crafting Kit throughout the album, including the patterned papers and die-cuts. I also used my Cuttlebug and Nestabilities dies to cut some of the photo mounts, and journalling spots. I stamped the journalling spot on the 2nd page with the Pink Persimmon Dutch journal stamp, added lots of inking and white pen, flowers, buttons and even a bit of glitter :) All in all it was quite fun to do, and I loved being able to go a bit mad with the bright colours and pretty things. Thanks for looking. Bye for now.

Another peek...

Nice earthy colours!

It's Tuesday....................

yah, that means time for a new sketch. This week I have designed a sketch for you all to try out.

See what you think:

Lots of opportunity here with this one. You can reverse it and create a double lo, wouldnt that look good? Use flowers instead of stars (I cant draw flowers thats why I used stars, lol). You can even make the whole design larger to do away with the white space if you are not that way inclined.

Whatever you do with it, I would love to see the outcome. Please upload to our Gallery

or at least leve a blog link so I can leave you some lurve :)

I think thats it from me, enjoy your Tuesday, and cant wait to see what you do.

Ooroo,
Deb

The Barracks

Well thought I would fill you all in on what's been happening with the new shop.

Last week I bought 3 of the original Railway Barracks from Merredin.

They came out to the farm on the back of 2 trucks on Saturday. Was just the worst day to move them, it was soooo windy.

Anyway they are here and with some TLC they will be awesome.....are they cute or what??

These are going to be extra accommodation for our retreats.

If you would like more info on the retreats please leave me a message.
I am going to call them "The Barracks" but am also looking for some names - to do with the Railways or scrapping or both, to call each of the cabins....any suggestions would be appreciated.

We Bid Farewell to Julie

Julie, Julie, Julie!
What are we going to do without you?
Yes, it's true - Our Fun Loving Julie has called it quits.
Her life, her loves, her family have all taken her in a different direction. Her busy schedule of work, renovating and family - not in that order - has meant that she feels that she can no longer fully commit to being a Designer with Country Papercraft.
It is with great sadness that we bid her farewell, because I don't think those who read our newsletter fully understand the amount of commitment that Julie has devoted to the Designers. Julie was one of the inaugural Designers - and since then she has been creating stunning layouts and challenges for each fortnightly newsletter. Julie has been our Theme Junkie! Every quarter she organises us all by collating all the themes that will feature in the next 3 months worth of newsletters. Her dedication to creating these themes is priceless! I know I for one will be missing her organisational skills.
Julie's forte is creating boy layouts with that little twist - usually the addition of flowers and baling! She has a great way with colour choices and combinations of patterns. Julie has a flair for mini albums - which we all are in awe of. Her ability to make others around her laugh is going to be sorely missed, as a member of the Designers.
Julie, thank you from the bottom of our hearts - we will truly miss you as a member of the Design Team! We look forward to you still dropping in and chatting in the forum and sharing your layouts in the gallery. I am sure you won't disappear from our lives completely. And don't forget there is always 'Facebook'.
Thank you once again - and we wish you all the best with whatever direction your life takes you in from here. Thank you for your dedication and devotion to the Designers - you will truly be missed!
