We can't avoid it any longer....it's definitely coming!!!
Yes, that's right...CHRISTMAS is sneaking up on us again! I've been doing my best to hold it off but it hasn't worked so now I have to quickly whip up some Xmas Cards in a hurry. I think you all should too so I can borrow some of your ideas! I only want simple fast cards though...that's all I have time for.
Something like this...........................
Told you they were simple! A little stamping, punching, embossing and a teensy bit of glitter (so teensy I missed a star! lol!)
Happy scrapping
Rach
xx
PS....the sooner we get Xmas cards out of the way, then Xmas....then it's Scrap Factor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

boy-oh-boy ...
The weekends roll around quickly - not that I've got a problem with that though [just quietly].
My challenge for you for this weekend - I would like you to create a layout with either a title of one of Elton John's songs or to journal with some of the lyrics from one of his songs.
Where on earth did that come from you are probably saying to yourself? I'm thinking that you definitely didn't see that coming.
Well the Rocket Man himself is in Dunedin today, well tonight actually ... and I will be there along with 35, 500 other screaming, bopping, whatever ... Elton John fans.
Happy creating.

Tuesday's Blog Challenge with a difference...
Hi Guys,
Don't know if you know it or not - but I am a huge X Factor fan - I love watching all the new talent as it evolves... This year's Aussie X Factor is awesome - and I am loving all three finalists - it is very hard to choose who I would love to win!!!
I love Reece's rock songs - he's got a huge amount of talent for such a young kid
Johnny - well he's just the absolute cutest! He's got a smile that lights up the whole stage - and he has improved just so much since his first audition.
Andrew - well right from the beginning Andrew was my favourite - and I honestly have tears every single time that he performs - he has such an amazing talent.
So of all the talent this year I think my absolute fave would have to be Andrew....
So with that in mind I would like you to create an ANDREW layout... LOL
No you don't have to create a layout about Andrew Wishart - I want you to create a layout using something beginning with the letters in his name.
For example: A - Alphabets, N - notepaper, D - distressing and so on and so forth - so that you have something on your layout beginning with each letter. Oh and to top it all off you must use an X on your layout just because of X factor.
Have fun creating!!!
XXX Mish (who will be glued to the tv tonight to find out the winner!!!!)

A little creative ...
In the stunning Country Papercraft's November kit you will find a whole lot of embellishments.
Nothing unusual with that. Marg gives a lot of thought to all the bitsers that go into her monthly kits and I for one love opening my box of goodies and tipping all the goodies out on my bench to have a nosey ... I do that before I check out the papers - well at least I am honest!!!
This month we have some gorgeous wee pretties and in amongst the pretties are some leaves with long wire stems. Not that leaves aren't pretties, I've got a thing for leaves, feathers, flowers - ohhhhhhhhhh dear - lots of things really.
But anyway ...
Sometimes challenges call for metal ...
So the next time you are thinking to yourself, metal, OMG what am I going to use ... think about this!
The wire on your leaves ... cut it off.
In this first example I have used it to hang my banner on it ...
This next example I have punched out butterflies and have used my piercing thingymajig and rolled the wire around it and glued the scrolly bits to my butterfly as an antennae ...
and my final example - I've thread the wire through the holes in these buttons and made the scrolly bits again using my piercer thingymajig.
So the next time you have to use wire and you are scratching your head for an idea you might just remember to use the wires on your leaves.
Happy creating.

Tuesday's Blog Challenge...
Is one all about using minimal and maximum!!!!
I would like you to use very few embellishments and papers on your page, but with lots of photos - to create a layout of MAXIMUM EFFECT!
This is a layout that I have created in a 6 x 8 album using just scraps of paper, a few alphabet letters and a dymo label maker. There are 9 photos on these two pages....
It is a lot easier when you are making smaller pages - but you still can use the same process to create a single page with loads of photos!
Look forward to see your Minimum v Maximum Layouts in the gallery

Weekend Challenge
Hi all,
My turn again for the weekend challenge. I am about to get into putting out my Christmas
Decorations in the shop.
So what I would like you to do is create a page/off the page/card, anything Christmas. Would also like you to recycle something while you are doing it.
I have been making a Christmas Wreath...have to pick up something while I am in Perth to finish it off, then I will share it with you.
Have a wonderful weekend and please stay safe. xx
Ok back from Perth and this is the finished wreath.
Measures more than 2' across...if anyone would like me to do a step by step on this please leave a comment. It was made from an old book and a few Christmas decorations...and lots of hot glue.
Take care and stay safe. xx

Your Tuesday challenge ...
Time stands still for no one and wouldn't you know it - another Tuesday has rolled around and as I'm on the Tuesday challenge this week, I thought that I had better put my thinking cap on.
This week is all about colour girls.
I've been away for the past week and one of the girls had a duvet cover [I think you girls across the ditch might call them a doona] - but anyway, look at these gorgeous colours - hence my colour challenge.
Your challenge is to create using lime green, electric blue, teal /aqua and sky blue - also allowed as neutral colours are : white, black and cardstock ...
Look forward to seeing your creativity in the gallery.
Happy creating.

Today's is Thursday - so that means...
It's challenge time!
Well, as I attended a Prima Workshop yesterday - I was all inspired to create again - Yes I have scrapped, but I can't share just yet!
But my inspiration came from being inspired by another - so my challenge to you is to create a layout, card or project that you have been inspired by another!
An example from me is....
I am inspired byMelissa Millar who is busy creating gorgeous canvases... and I have created a couple lately for my daughters school fete
These are a great way to use up scraps and all those extra alphas.
Looking forward to seeing your creations.

Tuesdays Challenge
Good morning everyone,
My turn again for the challenge...nice easy one today.
Seeing as it is the first of the month, I would like you to do a layout using a pic of something that was done for the first time...eg...first time on a boat cruise...first time to take a step...first time you ate oysters...etc
I would like you also to do something on your page you have never done before, so it would be "the first time" eg....masking, making a flower..etc.
Ok have fun, look forward to seeing what you do in the gallery.
Marg.
PS...look out for the new Designer Kit coming out today.
