Carnation Creation
Today, I am going to teach you how to
make these gorgeous handmade flowers.
These are made using the Spellbinders Carnation
Creation Die,
but you could use any flower punch or die cut.
(Find them here: http://countrypapercraft.com.au/index1.html )
You need a 6x12 piece of cardstock and a 6x12 piece of
doublesided patterned paper that co-ordinates with your cardstock.
You need to cut 4-5 of each shape for a fuller
carnation.
Layer them in size
order and secure with a brad.
Spray water on the top layer of papers
Then scrunch those papers
upwards
Squirt some more, scrunch some
more….
Continue until
the whole flower is scrunched. Play a
little with the “petals” until you’re happy with how it looks .
Once it’s dry, spray some glimmermist to give it a
little sparkle, and then attach it to
your card, layout or project.
The beauty of these (apart
from being super easy and super cute…), is that you can make them co-ordinate
with your page/project perfectly!
Have fun…can’t wait to see
your combinations.
