It is a nice and simple one this weekend - make a Mothers Day card!
Easy, and a timely challenge given Mothers Day will be on next Sunday 9th May.
If you make more than one design of card, be sure to upload them separately to the CPC Weekend Challenge gallery here: Weekend Challenge Gallery because each upload gets your name added to the monthly voucher draw for as many creations as you submit - so the more chances you have to win!
Here is the card I made for my mum - LOVE YOU MUM!
Supplies include the Crate Paper "Lillian" Die cuts, Carolee's Tiny Alphas, Making Memories Tiny Type alphas.
Have a great one!

Weekly Blog Challenge - RECIPE CHALLENGE
If you lived in my house you would know that the night before shopping day - is Westinghouse Stew night - that is where everything old {or at it's use by date} is thrown in the Slow Cooker with some meat and a can or two of tomatoes - the result each week is absolutely amazing {some weeks have been real horrors - especially when you have run out of everything that resembles a vegetable} So my RECIPE CHALLENGE to you this week is to create a layout using the staples
- CARDSTOCK {meat}
- 2 PATTERNED PAPER {tins of tomatoes}
- FLOWERS {stock}
- 4 PRODUCTS THAT HAVE BEEN IN YOUR STASH SINCE YOU STARTED SCRAPPING {vegetables close to your use by date}
- 2 of the FIRST TOOLS that you purchased {other than your paper trimmers}
- PAINT OR INK
- A VARIETY OF SMALL EMBELLISHMENTS {the herbs and spices thrown in for good luck}
Don't forget to share your layouts in the gallery by Sunday night to qualify in the draw for the prize voucher at the end of the month - Whoa that's this week!!!!!

WEEKEND CHALLENGE
This weekend, in celebration and remembrance of ANZAC Day, I would like you to scrap an ANZAC Day/Soldier/War type layout.
My only stipulation is that your layout is uploaded into the correct gallery by MONDAY MIDNIGHT - because its a public holiday this weekend and so you have the opportunity to use photos taken on Sunday at the ANZAC Day Services.
Here is my layout created today of my DD at her ANZAC Day Assembly on Wednesday.
Using the gorgeous SARAH JANE papers from BELLA BELLA
The journalling is a paragraph that she wrote to present at the assmebly.

Weekly Blog Challenge - online inspiration!
Hey everyone!
I realised I didn't get the weekly blog challenge up - I think there was too much excitement between the newsletter, the barracks reno and the sale!
Never fear - it is now here. This one is super easy.
Use a blog or website as inspiration for your page!
I have lots of sites that I have in my google blog reader that I can get great colour combo ideas, photograph inspiration, layout design prompts from.
Here are a few of my faves!
www.designspongeonline.com
http://www.redvelvetgirls.typepad.com/
www.frankie.com.au
http://knackstudios.blogspot.com/
http://ohjoy.blogs.com/my_weblog/
So your challenge is to create something inspired by a fave blog or website of yours - and it can be inspired in anyway - colour or style or layout or photos or words or images or quotes - HOWEVER! Please share which site it is that inspired you and what specifically about it that took your fancy.
Here is my page it is based on my love of the frankie magazine site! Currently their blog banner is a paper pieced section, with cut out kraft and book paper used. I made my own "snowflake" by crimping an oval shape out of kraft cardstock, then cutting segments out with scissors and my cropadile. I then cut another section from book paper using the crimping scissors. Thanks so much for the inspiration frankie!
The photos are from a wedding we went to in February (sorry I had to blur the faces for privacy). And I have used some of the totally YUMMY new Pink Paislee Queen Bee range available from the shop.
Remember, you have till the end of the month to upload your creations based on the CPC blog challenges, either link back here or upload to the CPC blog challenge gallery.
For each page that is uploaded or linked back, your name will be added to the draw for a CPC voucher!
Can't wait to see what you make.
Cheers,
Lee

WEEKEND CHALLENGE 16/4!
Hey kids!
It's Lee here again with another weekend challenge for you.
My challenge for this weekend is as follows:
I would like to see layout that has at least two photos on it that were taken before 2005, uses chipboard, and at least 3 circle shaped embellishments. Using circle patterned paper doesn't count...(*hehheh - I had to make it a little bit hard!!) But if you made an embellishment from circle patterned paper, then that is fine.
Remember to link back with your creation to this post, or upload to the CPC Weekend Challenge Gallery for April here, by Midnight Western Australia time on Sunday 18th April, then your name will be added to the April Voucher Prize draw!
Can't wait to see what you make!
Cheers,
*Lee*

Weekend Challenge...
This weekend I challenge you to create a layout using a BLOG SKETCH created by the fabulous Tassie Deb - we are all saddened at the thought of her leaving the Design Team - so I thought as a last HURRAH we would flood the gallery with her sketches.
Click on the Link - Designer Sketches over on the right - and scroll through until you find a sketch you like. You must then created a sport themed layout using this sketch. It doesn't necessarily have to be playing sport, but can be some sort of sport based - ie fishing is a sport...
Don't forget to load your layouts into the gallery by Sunday Midnight to be in the draw to win a voucher at the end of April.
Here is my example - using TD's Sketch number 10
using Kaiser's Loire Valley papers and elements and BG Chip alphas.

Mish's Sketch
Hi Ladies,
This week it's my turn to post something on the blog - so I thought I would go for a sketch. I have used a Jessica Sprague Digi Kit to create this sketch.
Hopefully I will get to have a play at creating a layout with this sketch sometime today and will come back and share with you.

a little black, a little grey, a little pink and a little orange
and an example of those colours working together.
I've scrapped a photo of my cousin's daughter and her Bratz doll, a Christmas present the year before last.
I worked in the colours of the doll's hair, Brianna's dress and the carpet to get my colour combination. A little inking, distressing and using punches and there you have it.
I've used the Basic Grey Ambrosia collection of papers - Marg has them in the CPC shop.
Have fun being creative ladies.

P.S. couldn't quite figure out how to post two pics in one blog post now that I upload them straight from Picasa ... sometimes I'm a little techno challenged ... but ssssshhhhhhhhhhhhh, don't tell everybody [that's why you have two posts].

FARE THE WELL TASSIE DEB
I write this blog post with a heavy heart and a tear in my eye.
It has come time for Deb to hang up her CPC apron, and say goodbye to the Design Team. Deb was the first Designer on the CPC Design Team - she has been a part of the team for the past 3 years - and an awesome contributor - not a newsletter went past where Deb had more than 3 layouts of the Designer Challenges completed, as well as her kit layouts. Deb your work is always inspirational - and I have had many people comment this!
But as life does, Deb's has gotten way too busy! Both her boys are doing really well in their sporting areas, and this takes up a lot of time in Deb's already busy schedule, as she is transporting them all over the state of Tasmania as they compete in Basketball Matches, Athletic Meets and the like. We wish both Samuel and Mitchell all the best in their sporting fields.
Deb, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts, for being such a supportive, caring member of the Design Team - we will truly miss your chat, your love, and your inspirational layouts. Take care good friend!
