Doodlebug Black & White Cards

Hi, I thought I would share some cards we did this week in a class using the lovely Doodlebug Black & White Wedding papers.

This first couple I found the design while searching the net, sorry cannot remember where I got

it.

I used the white divine on one and the black paisley on the other.

Also used bazzill cardstock, Cuttlebug tag team - textile hearts to make the heart on the front. The other hearts are made using EK folk heart punches.

The stamps are Adorn-it and the ink is Stazon Black.

I think these would make awesome Wedding Invitations.

This next card, using the same range, it is the black divine this time.

The punched edge was made using a Fiskars Lace border punch.

The red on the front is Bazzill run through the Cuttlebug swirls embossing bolder.

The flower is made up from white bazzil stamped with the new Delish Script stamp (I love this stamp), then punched out with the extra large EK Retro Daisy Punch. This punch is awesome, so many uses. The other paper is from the same range also punched with the Retro punch. With a red material flower and brad to finish off with.

Under the punched lace edge I have placed a strip of 3/4" black velvet ribbon.

Sketch Tuesday

yeppers its that time of the week again..... sketch time...woohoo!!!

Boy the weeks are just flying by arent they.

We have one more week of school holidays here then they are back for another term.

Winter will be here before we all know it. Im looking forward to that! Im definately a winter gal, love the cold nights where you can snuggle under the blankets and the kids noses are glowing red from the cold...lol...ok I digress...I tend to do that.

Off into my own little world......but enough i hear you all yell.....get on with the sketch....ok ok I hear ya!! No need to be pushy..lol

and here is my example. i have used the totally gorgeous 3 bugs in a rug papers that are so great for Boys pages. Available in the shop! go look you know you want to!!! They are so yummy!

NEWSFLASH - Xyron Personal Cutters

Have just heard that Xyron Personal Cutters are no longer being made. If you have one and would like to get other books of shapes or fonts, please let me know and I will see what is still available.

Also might be a good idea to stock up on blades and mats as they will not be available soon.

Kaiser clear mini album

Hi, and how is your weekend shaping up so far??? I have a little mini album to show you that I completed last weekend at the CPC retreat. Marg gave us some directions to start, then we were left to our own creative devices...lol...and this is what I came up with. I made it for my 9 year old daughter, hence the bright and very girly colours, which she just loves.

The first thing you need to do, is paint all of the edges on both sides, in your chosen paint colour. You then need to work out your photo placement and size, then cut the photo's to the exact same size so that they line up on either side of the acrylic pieces. You can then stick your photos on, we used a glue stick, and from there you can just go crazy with rub-ons, flowers, stickers, bling and any other things you can think of. For my album I've used the gorgeous Basic Grey Urban Prairie papers, Kaiser rubons, Carolee's and Thickers letters, and loads of other bits from my stash. It was such a fun and reasonably quick project to do, I'm already thinking of my next one. Marg has a few different shapes in stock, so go check it out, and have a go yourself. Bye for now.
