woo hoo ... it's Friday and it's time for the weekend and ...
I'm setting the weekend challenge - just saying!
So ... my challenge for you this weekend is to be a little creative with the following colours ...
A little red, a little white and a little pink!
Why those colours?
Well we are only a few weeks out from that special day - you know the one ... St Valentine's Day ... although in saying that, every day should be a 'love' day.
So I would like you to be creative with those colours.
You can create a layout, an OTP, a card - whatever you like.
My creativity is done and dusted, but it's a little bit late this side of the ditch to be taking photos. So I will share tomorrow.
Don't forget to upload to the gallery.
Happy creating.
Take care,
Michelle [aka Mrs Frizz]

Tuesday Challenge - Three + Patterned Papers
Hi everyone, today's Tuesday Blog Challenge is to use at least three different patterned papers on your creation.
My layout includes three of the PP's from the January D'luxe Designer Kit "Moonrising".
I used some segments I had left over from other pages I made, which use the SEI "Moonrising" PP's. All elements on the page are from the January Kit.
Your patterned papers can be different coordinating designs from the one company/range, or totally different ranges, it is up to you! Using small segments on a LO is the easiest way to make use of the leftover PP's that come about. You can make a layout, card, project or ATC, whatever you like! Can't wait to see what you make.

Another Cyber crop challenge ...
A few posts down you will see that Marg set a wee challenge - and used black, white and lime green and what a stunning colour combination that is ...
My challenge for the Cyber crop is another black and white challenge and you can add one other colour - any colour you like ... how about orange or lime green or, I know ... hot pink ... now wouldn't that look fab-u-lous. Purple might be good too.
My colour combination - black, white and teal.
I would also like to see that a punch has been used somewhere, and you will need to throw in a little bling and some ribbon.
Not a tough challenge by any means of the imagination.
So have fun girls ... happy creating!

Cyber Crop Fundraiser Weekend.
Hi everyone,
We are running a funraiser in the shop this weekend to help with the floods in Australia. So we thought why not have a Cyber Crop as well.
Instead of doing vouchers for the crop, I will donate the money instead to the floods. So join in the fun and you will be doing your bit as well. Also 10% of all sales will also be donated.
The girls have put together some challenges to get your Mojo going.
First one is from Lee.
Hey all, my challenge is:
Scrap some Christmas photos! Use at least two photos on your page, as well as at least 20 words of journaling.
My page is made using the December D’luxe Designer Kit. I have used some punches on this including a plain & scallop circles, as well as the Martha Stewart doily lace punch. The open scalloped square was made using my diecut machine & the Spellbinder Nestabilities “Lacy Squares” dies.
Thanks for looking!
Lee
Now one from Rach..
To use the sketch to create a layout. I'd like it to include:
A) some blue (for the floodwaters); and
B) because events this year have been a bit of an eyeopener about how we never know what's around the corner and life's too short...you can use either "Fun" photos, or you should try a product or technique you've never used before.
Have fun!!

Using blue and white c/s; BG PP; some old Kaiser pp; Flower and cork from old kit; Cuttlegub frames, thickers and adornit letters
I got my new camera this week and DH came home with an old picture someone at work was chucking. He thought I could use it to make a collage of photos...but I had a way cooler idea! My kids wouldn't play along and be in the photo but they happily took photos for me.

Mish's Weekend Challenge
Hi girls - still having a blast on holidays...
And a simple challenge for you...
I would like you to use a tv advertisement for inspiration for your layout.
I often look at the Australian Army Advert and love the blocking of their ads, and always think one day I will create a layout using this ad...
So here is your chance to create a layout using an advert from the tv and put it on paper
back to holidays .....

Thursday Challenge
Hi everyone,
I was going to get myselft scrapping for this challenged (shhhh don't tell anyone, but I have not scrapped one page yet this year...oops) but all I managed was a card with a gift box to match...well sort of matched. I was playing around with just some older card to get the right size...then thought why not decorate with scraps from the card. Wish now that I hade made the box in the right colours. But you get the picture.
So my challenge is to scrap a page or make a card or whatever you want to make really using Black, White and Lime Green...yep Lime Green.
Here is my example.
I have used my trusty Cuttlebug with Spellbinder dies on both the card and box.
If anyone wants the measurements for the box..perfect size to put 6 standard cards is as a prezzie, please leave me a message and I will post the size.
Have fun,
Marg.

Using the January kit ...
unfortunately Christmas somehow managed to get in the way of someone you know receiving the CPC January kit ...
I waited and I waited and I waited ... and then out of the blue ... I heard the courier man pull up the drive.
It's more than a little exciting when a pizza box is delivered to my doorstep and even more exciting ... when I am actually home to snaffle said pizza box.
And wow, it was worth waiting for ... January's kit is quite simply gorgeous ... full of flowers and die cuts ... fab-u-lous!
And in no time at all I whipped up this layout ...
I see that Marg has had to restock some of the goodies and now has a few more kits available ... don't dilly-dally, get in quick.
Happy creating.

Time for a little more creativity
and a challenge ...
For some reason I seem to be scrapping more multi photo layouts at the moment, not sure why that is ... but it is ... once upon a time, I was definitely a one photo per layout kinda gal ... but not anymore.
So, this challenge, four photos, yes ... I said four photos, so don't all fall off your chairs; [a few years ago though, I would have fallen off my chair and thrown my arms in the air and thought to myself, so NOT a happening thing] - but you can do it, I know you can ... throw in a little hand stitching, a little stamping and some distressing and a multi alpha title ... and you can add whatever else you want into the recipe ...
I've used white cardstock, Basic Grey Wander 6x6 pad, Tim Holtz distress ink - black soot, Adorn it foam alphas, mini alphas and a little embroidery thread.
Marg has a wonderful selection of Basic Grey 6x6 pads in the shop and I find these days that they are truly a 'must have', almost a staple scrapping product for me at the moment.
Don't forget to load your layout in the gallery.
Happy creating.

January "Moonrising" D'luxe Designer Kit - Back in Stock!
This absolutely fabulous kit sold out in the first round, but Marg again has them back in stock - HURRAH!
Be sure to check out the What's New section of the shop under January 14th to grab yourself one if you don't already have it!
Here is another page I made using the kit. The only thing I added was the word "world" using the fabulous Basic Grey 'Basics' mini-mono alpha stickers, and also hitting up the background cardstock with a bit of trusty creme-cocoa glimmer mist, and using an edge distresser on the reverse brown side of the patterned paper.

Thursday Blog Challenge - Twirly Curly and Swirly
I want to see something fabulous and swirly on your creation!
Almost all the items on my LO from the current gorgeous January D'luxe Designer Kit. I have add those cute little kraft coloured alphas which are by Bella and also availabe from CPC.
My swirl is part of the absolutely beautiful Prima "Say it in Pearls" pearl sticker that it included in the kit.
Thanks for looking.
Lee
*PS: All the team at CPC are thinking of our fellow Australians currently in the midst of the horrible natural disaster in Queensland as flood waters continue to wreak havoc, as well as for those in Western Australia who were vicitms of the fires. Our thoughts are with you all. Don't forget there are many ways to donate to victims of the flood disasters, go to www.qld.gov.au/floods/donate.html for more information.

Tuesday's Challenge
Sorry, its a little late...
but you know a when a girl's on holidays you lose track of what day it is...
So my challenge to you - because I am on holidays - is...
To scrap a holiday layout...
Use one of those fun holiday snapshots that you haven't gotten around to scrapping yet... Or take a new photo if you are on holidays...
You must use - 4 patterned papers (because it was my birthday the other day and I have doubled the 4's)
20 mixed alphas (because today I have been married to my wonderful husband for 20 years)
3 large embellishments (because I have 3 adult children)
1 medium embellishment (because we have 1 teen)
1 small embellishment (because we have 1 miniature JR dog)
Have fun - look forward to seeing your layouts in the gallery.
Happy Holidays

Weekend Challenge
Happy New Year everyone,
I do hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and all the very best for 2011.
My first challenge to you for the year is to make a card or layout using punches, Spellbinders or die cuts…..also flowers, ribbons, buttons and stamps.
My example is a card we will be making at the next class in the shop.
I have used a Martha Stewart punch for the strip of black, and EK medium daisy punch (under the bow). Spellbinder dies for the square and circles. Heidi Swapp flower and a Bella ribbon bow. The cute stamp is Hero Arts – tiny bird messages.
Please join in the challenge for a chance to win a voucher in the shop, just put your entry in our gallery.
Have fun, Marg.

Happy New Year to you all ...
Sometimes, well lots of times actually, we take photos that shall we say, aren't the best quality ... the lighting isn't flash, we have blurred photos due to movement, all sorts of reasons.
Sometimes though we 'have' to use the best of the bad, if that makes sense. So that we can keep the memory alive.
My challenge to you this week, to scrap some of those 'not the best' photos.
These photos aren't flash of DS, but I really needed to use them to record a special moment in time from prize giving a few weeks ago.
So, on your layout, apart from a multi photo layout, I would like to see a multi alpha title, a little metal [in my case staples], some stickers, yep, you read right, some stickers - I've used a selection of BG stickers on my layout and some mini alphas and I would also like to see something recycled - and in my case you can see a little strip of pizza packaging which I have recycled.
Throw in a few tags, a little glimmermist, a little Tim Holtz distress ink [black soot] and there you have it.
Don't forget to share in the gallery.
Until next time, happy creating.

Blog Challenge - 11!
Merry 2011 everyone.
And todays challenge is to use 11 of something on your page, ie 11 products in total, or 11 photos, or 11 embellishments, or 11 letter title, or the number 11 on there somewhere, or 11 lines of journaling. Whatever takes your fancy! Use more than one lot of 11 if you wish, just be sure to tell us what your 11 is!
Hope your 2011 is getting off to a flying start.
My page has an 11 word title, and 11 embellishments on it, along with 11 words/symbols as the journaling (yes, I am counting the exclamation mark..lol!). I've used some of my left over December Kit Girls Paperie PP's on this, Collage Press Alphas, October Afternoon "Good Day" & label stickers, Sassafrass Lass heart sticker, Basic Grey "Basics" range edge scallop and "&" stickers, Prima gem, Jenni Bowlin Chip alpha, red & black brads.
Lee :)
