More recycling...

Mrs Frizz and I had the same idea in the same week so thought I would show another example of recycling.
This is the box my new Telstra Modem came in this week. A plain white sturdy box with no markings on..perfect to make into a Treasure Box to keep all the little notes and things my children like to give me!

I painted it pink, then added some green and white splashes and splotches. I used one half sheet of Prima pp (did you know Prima have some beautiful papers.....they don't just do flowers!?!?), some stamping, old rubons and letter stickers. Ribbon from my stash and the "bobbly" ribbon from a previous design kit. Oh, and 4 brads to make sure the corners don't lift.
(The sides have just paint and stamped flowers as they actually tuck in like a shoe box and I thought paper might lift.)
Such a cheap, easy, fun little project...can see why Mrs F is addicted to OTP items!

Thanks for looking...can't wait to see your recycling efforts in The Gallery soon!

Lee's March D'Luxe Designer Kit 8.5x11 Pages

Hey everyone,

I finally have my scanner/computer working again so I can share a couple of pages I made with the fabulous March D'Luxe Designer Kit - "A Rose by Any Other Name". The colours from this kit go perfectly with these photos.

First up, this is a pic of my little bloke B and his big cousin C - B just adores him! All supplies are from the D'Luxe Designer Kit, and I have used two of my Tim Hotlz dies on the page (the flourish and the bookplate).

And secondly - some photos of my parents with their gorgeous grandson (and my fantastic nephew) Joshua James - JJ is a bit bigger now, but he is super adorable in these photos from last year with my parents.

I have also used my new Martha Stewart loop punch on this page - which is available in the shop too.

I think there might just be a couple of kits left in the shop, so be quick!!

Cheers,

Lee

Don't throw away that rubbish girls ...

A big hi-de-hi from me ... all the way from the other side of the ditch ... hi !!!!

Remember I said, don't throw away that rubbish girls.

Well I didn't ... last year I had a wee package of choccies gifted to me and I thought to myself at the time, must keep that ... might come in handy.

and it has ...

I opened up said wee package and have used the packaging as a template ...

Out came some Prima papers, my Martha Stewart frond punch [again] - most well used tool I have in my scrapping room at the moment, a little bling, a flower, a tag, a butterfly and some ink ... and voila.

I printed off some friends quotes, adhered them to some Prima packaging - talk about recycling ladies, inked the edges and they just fit snugly inside my wee purse.

I couldn't add any additional flowers to the tags - would have been too bulky to fit inside the purse ... shame really.

So there you have it.

Next time you are throwing rubbish away, you might like to think twice and either recycle said rubbish or use it as a template.

Happy creating girls.

Tuesday's Challenge

Wowsers, I have finally scrapped!!!!!

And just in time for today's challenge...  Okay nice and simple one for you! I would like you to cut a photo!

So as I have done, cut mine into thirds - or you could cut a photo into a shape - what ever, it just has to be cut somehow!

I have used this month's designer kit to create my layout of my D at the beach this summer!

Have fun creating and don't forget to share in the Challenge gallery

What is the world coming to??

There is so much devastation and so many unexpected things going on in this world of ours lately, that it's given me cause to think back and reflect. (Well, that's part of it..the other part is I have been without a printer to print my photos so I had to use some REEEAAALLLY old photos to scrap this week!)
Then I went a step further and looked back through some old papers and embellishments. (If the world IS coming to an end, I have an awful lot of Scrap Stash to get through first!)
So, here is my old photo (My DS at 18 months...now 13! Still cute though!!!) This Kaisercraft Skull Boi paper may be older but it still goes with anything boy.
My challenge to you..........is to find an older photo and scrap it! Look forward to seeing it in the gallery soon!

I'm such a tease....!!!!!

Since the newsletter came out yesterday, a few people have already told me that they like the look of the new kit. (And it IS AWESOME! It is my most favourite for a long time...maybe ever!?) Yesterday I did 4 layouts and I'm nowhere near using up the whole kit! (I think Marg has accidentally put TOO MUCH in it, but shhhh!!! don't tell.......)
So instead of a challenge today, I am giving you a sneak peak of my layouts to get you all inspired to order this kit. Then go choose some photos and get ready because you are going to love it!
Have fun

Tuesday Challenge - Circles circles circles...

Happy March Everyone! Gosh, hasn't the time so far this year flown by!

My challenge today is for you to use LOTS of circles (at least 6) on your creation.

I made a card for our friends 40th Birthday, and used my small circle punch to cut shapes from some different scraps of PP, then machine stiched them in a grid pattern on a piece of Bazzil Kraft cardstock.

Once that was done, I attached the segment to a folded card base, and then added the fabulous Pink Paislee chipboard 40. This is a great card to make in production line format, as you can really get a flow on with it!

Thanks so much for looking, can't wait to see your multiple circle project!

Lee :)
